TL;DR

TIM Style is TIM's internal social platform, built to strengthen corporate culture and get thousands of employees sharing updates, recognising peers, and staying informed. Existing tools were fragmented, outdated, and unappealing, leading to low participation and poor engagement across departments — so, starting from a critical review of the original mockups, I restructured the platform with a mobile-first mindset built around familiar social patterns.

  • What it is — a mobile-first internal social platform for thousands of TIM employees.
  • My role — led UX/UI design for the social area: research, ideation, responsive design, and a scalable design system.
  • The result — over 2,000 employee posts in the first few months, with a phased MVP supporting ongoing rollout.
01The problem

How do you make internal communication feel engaging for thousands of employees? TIM needed a modern internal social platform to strengthen its culture and encourage employees to share updates, recognise peers, and stay informed. Existing tools were fragmented, outdated, and unappealing — leading to low participation and poor engagement across departments.

02Designing the solution

A mobile-first platform built around familiar social patterns. Starting from a critical review of the original mockups, I restructured the platform with a mobile-first mindset, prioritising usability and engagement across every device.

  • A story editor for posting updates with media, hashtags, mentions, and links
  • A personal dashboard (Activity Log) to manage content and revisit liked or saved stories
  • Admin & editorial tools — editorial stories, pinned content, and a clear official-vs-employee distinction
  • Custom branding options and visual tags to separate internal campaigns and announcements
  • A scalable Figma design system, built with front-end devs through iterative QA
03My role

I led the UX and UI design for the social area of TIM Style — research, ideation, responsive design, and close collaboration with an external agency handling the news section, ensuring a unified product experience.

Outcome & impact

From silence to stories: over 2,000 employee posts in the first few months. A phased MVP gave TIM a scalable roadmap for continued rollout without a full redesign.

  • Adoption took off

2,000+ employee posts in the first few months.

  • Simplicity drove adoption

Internal feedback cited the platform's simplicity and social-native familiarity as key adoption drivers.

  • A roadmap without a redesign

The phased MVP approach enabled continued feature rollout without requiring a redesign.
